During our regular Open Mic Night, Mark will give a reading featuring poems from his newly published collection, In The Garden of Fortunes. He’ll also have copies of his book available for sale.

If Pablo Neruda worked at a consulting firm that oversaw the account for Chinese cookie fortunes, what would those fortunes look like? In The Garden Of Fortunes by poet Mark Walsh delivers bursts of bite-sized wisdom directly addressed towards healing what ails us today. Pithy, and full of feeling, this book offers hope while grappling with life’s larger ideas.

About The Author

Mark Walsh is an English professor at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA. His Chapbook In The Garden of Fortune, was published by Lily Poetry Review Books in May of 2024.  Recent poetry publications include Beatnick Cowboy, Abandoned Mine, Rituals and Choeofpleirn Press.
