Poet and author G.G. Cosmos (aka Gail Gonsalves) joins us for our monthly AHA Open Mic Night on Thursday, June 12th, 7-9pm at the Co-Creative Center in Downtown New Bedford!

Gail Gonsalves (G.G. Cosmos) is a native of New Bedford, MA and currently resides in Westport, MA. She values the empowerment of her expressive and creative spirit, grounded in her resilient faith and in serving others through a holistic perspective. A never-ending student of life, she believes in learning and creating through imagination, engagement, and endless possibilities. Gail’s first time reading for us was in June 2024, and it was actually her first time reading her poetry aloud in front of strangers! We were so honored that she felt confident and cared for enough by our poets to get up there and share during a VERY busy book release party. One year later, and another poetry collection to her name, and she’s taking the spotlight!

Join us at the always lively Co-Creative Center on Thursday, June 12th from 7-9pm for G.G. Cosmos’ feature reading, along with our usual open mic. Gail will have copies of her books available for sale as well.
